Save money in the Mackinac Island Area with our Super Saver Discount Campsites!

No one should miss a summer vacation. This year, when things are difficult for so many, we want to do everything we can to show appreciation and support for the camping public.

We feature some of the most reasonable camping rates in the Mackinac Island Area, however, we are now making available for the first time a Super Saver discounted area. This area features campsites that are discounted $10 per night below our regular rates and sites of the same features.

Click to see a map of the Super Saver area included in this promotion. This is a beautiful wooded area of our campground that provides a way to have discount camping without having a "discount" experience.

We have discount RV camping sites large enough to fit the biggest camping unit so if inexpensive camping is what your budget demands, you don't have to have a low budget destination anymore! Don't let high RV camping rates keep you from traveling this summer!

Our discounted sites are limited so advance reservations are recommended.

Voted one of Michigan's most family friendly campgrounds by the Detroit News, our campground is pet friendly and child friendly with large playgrounds, a full size basketball court and a sandy beach as well as a heated pool (open Memorial Day through Labor Day). You can find us located just 2 miles south of the Mackinac Bridge in Mackinaw City on US Highway 23. You can invite your camping friends because along with cabins, cottages and kitchenettes we also have campsites.

Mackinac Island Area Attractions

If you are considering northern Michigan or the Mackinac Island area as an RV destination or a stopping point for your group for rally you probably already know about the many world-class attractions located here.

Even if your group has been to the Mackinac Island area in the past, you will find no shortage of wonderful and memorable things to do. There are many new attractions, like the Courtyard Shopping District of Mackinaw City and the 310-acre, 18-hole Mackinaw Club Golf Course. Not to mention the obvious world-class attractions that caused Mackinac Island to be named the second National Park in the United States, (after Yellowstone National Park).

Mill Creek Discovery Park

Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping is located nearly "next door" to Mill Creek Discovery Park (formerly known as Mill Creek Historic Park). Operated by the State Park Commission (the same agency that operates Mackinac Island), Mill Creek Discovery Park features an operating water-powered saw mill from the revolutionary war period that is fully reconstructed.

Mackinac Island

Mackinac Island is a State Historic Park and as such there is no camping on the Island. However, directly facing Mackinac Island and directly opposite the Grand Hotel on the mainland, is the area's largest and most popular campsite, us - Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping. The camp features a free shuttle to the island ferries and the camp's web page has extensive information on the Carp Lake area.

Since no motor vehicles are allowed on Mackinac Island, there is no ferry equipped to transport motor vehicles. But that doesn't stop anyone from enjoying the historical landmarks, natural curiosities, taking in the shopping opportunities, visiting the fudge shops, saloons, Victorian mansions or the spectacular scenery. Livery stables put horses n' carriages at your beck and call. If live transportation is not your style, you have your choice of bicycle rentals to find just the ride to suit your fancy.

To you who made it what it is:

This letter is long overdue. When we first came through your entrance some ten years ago we had no idea what an influence your campground was destined to have on us. No idea of how often we would find ourselves thinking of all you have to offer here, and how fervently we'd wish to sample it all again. And then again. And we did. Often. Sometimes just for a night when enroute somewhere ... sometimes for a short weekend that business pressures allowed us to steal. Your campground became a "magic" name for us. I think it will always remain so. Even now we have moved our permanent home to Scottsdale, AZ. We've traveled and camped 36 of our states. . . as well as five the the Canadian provinces and we can say to you in all honesty that nowhere have we ever found a campground that even comes close to what you have here on the waters of the legend-haunted Straits. And we know, just from having been here so often over the years, that it didn't just "happen." It took a lot of hard work and TLC to create this unique park. Just as it takes a lot of work and TLC to preserve it. We personally thank you each time we drive in or out. I am sure there are hundreds of others who feel just as we do.
