There is no admission charge for the Fort Michilimackinac Pageant, which is the longest running, historical Memorial Day performance in the Nation. Become acquainted with pre-revolutionary war Mackinac where visitors will meet famous Indian Chiefs including Chief Wawatam, who adopts Alexander Henry as a blood brother and then later saves his life by secreting him off to hide him in Skull Cave on Mackinac Island.
Mackinaw City also celebrates Memorial Day weekend with its popular annual waterfront fireworks display.
