Taiko is the dramatic and exciting Japanese art of ensemble drumming. With a repertoire ranging from traditional to modern, this group of up to seven, led by leaders who trained in Taiko drumming at Asano Daiko in Japan, have shared their passion by performing throughout Michigan since opening the Great Lakes Taiko Center in 2009.

They join forces with dynamic drummer and world percussionist Fritz McGirr, who lends his spirited expertise of traditional music’s percussion component.
