The Wild Blueberry Festival in Paradise, Michigan is held each year during the third weekend in August to celebrate a part of local heritage, wild blueberries. An art fair, entertainment, and wonderful local food are part of the festivities. The celebration also showcases informative programs of music, nature, and lore all featuring local history.

Tahquamenon Trail Run

The Tahquamenon Trail Run includes 10K and 25K adult trail races and a 2K kid's race, sponsored by Great Lakes Endurance. Races begin at Tahquamenon Falls State Park in Paradise, Michigan. Races start at 8am.

18th Annual Crisp Point Lighthouse Conference

The 18th Annual Crisp Point Lighthouse Conference & Picnic will be held on July 19, 2014 (the third Saturday of July). This year we will meet at 10:00 a.m. at the Whitefish Township Community Center on M-123 in Paradise. The address of the Community Center is 7052 N. M-123, Paradise, MI 49768. It is about 1/4 miles south of the school on the east side of the road. Coffee, juice, baked goods, etc. will be provided for breakfast. We will be giving everyone an update on the happenings and future happenings at Crisp Point. Later, you can make a lunch to eat at the Community Center or pack one to eat at the light. Dinner will be at the lighthouse, with hot dogs and all the fixings.

Admission is free for all who register before July 12, 2014. If you do not pre-register, the price will be $5 per person, or $15 for a family, at the door. On July 4th, celebrate our nation's birthday in Paradise. Recapture your patriotism by celebrating with our local community starting with pancakes and ending with fireworks. Rediscover or provide your family an opportunity to celebrate the "GRANDNESS" of the United States!

  • Pancakes: 7am-11am at Whitefish Township Community Center
  • Parade: 1pm in Downtown Paradise
  • Games: 3pm-5pm at the Whitefish Township School Grounds
  • Fireworks: at dusk, behind the Whitefish Township Community Center and over Whitefish Bay.

Whitefish Point Marathon

The Whitefish Point Marathon is a USA Track & Field Certified Course north of Paradise Michigan located in the eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Run from Sawmill Creek Park upbound (North on) Whitefish Point Road to Whitefish Point, then back to Whitefish Township Community Center.
