Spend your summer in northern Michigan's beautiful Straits of Mackinac area within minutes of dozens of world-class attractions and located in a spectacular natural setting.
Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping is situated amidst 200 acres of Northern Michigan forest and has over 1 mile of shoreline on the Straits of Mackinaw viewing the Mackinac Bridge, Mackinac Island, Round Island, lake freighters and the spectacular azure blue of Lake Huron. Our campers also enjoy discounted greens fees at our beautiful 18-hole 310-acre golf course, the Mackinaw Club. Established in 1964 and still operated today by the Rogala family, the campground has been named one of Michigan's top "Family Friendly" parks by The Detroit News.
Hassle free is what camping is all about, so once the summer is over, you can arrange to store your RV with us so it will be waiting for you here next summer.
With a seasonal site you won't have any worries about trying to find a place to camp during busy holiday weekends.
Just think about it, it's a summer Friday night, you rush to pack up and get everybody on the road. You try to find the campground, check-in and find your site, get back in and level everything up. You open up the trailer or RV and then maybe (just maybe) you'll get a couple minutes to grill a burger or grab a cool drink. Suddenly, it's Sunday afternoon and you have to do it all again in reverse. Perhaps seasonal camping is a way for you to put a little more "vacation" into your life?
In a beautiful and relaxing destination that is safe, familiar and comfortable, your only decisions will be where to spend your time with so many wonderful choices awaiting you. Hiking miles of wooded roads and trails, walking the shoreline, relaxing on a chaise lounge by the heated pool, ordering a pizza from the Park Store (open Memorial Day through Labor Day), a bike ride, a game of mini golf, a ferry to picturesque Mackinac Island, a tour of Historic Fort Michilimackinac, a round of golf at the Mackinaw Club, or perhaps some window shopping in Mackinaw Crossings and a movie?
We are family friendly and pet friendly and enforce a 10pm quiet hour with a toll free number to call if you have any late night disturbances. We have a reputation as a quiet, peaceful park and we work to keep it that way with a pass system at the gate and with policies like "no extra guests on holiday weekends" to avoid overcrowding the park.

If you don't own an RV or a trailer already, most campers purchase an RV or a travel trailer from a dealer, either near where they live, or around Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping. Check with your friends or look in the classified ads or on the Internet (Craigslist.org). As to brand name and model options, this is up to you!
Some families have a motorhome or popup camper, and start with that. They often change over to a travel trailer, since they don't need to travel with the unit much, the advantage of the motorhome, and they want more space than the popup offers. If you are a seasonal camper and don't want to share the communal bathrooms and showers you'll want to purchase a unit that has those facilities built into it. If you are choosing a travel trailer, you will also need to make sure that either you or a friend or relative has a vehicle that is equipped to tow it.
